Shelly, a native of Denton, graduated from the University of North Texas in 1991 with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting. She began her career as an auditor with Ernst & Young in Ft. Worth before working as an accountant for Liberty Christian School and then in corporate accounting and audit for Sally Beauty Holdings for twenty years. Shelly joined Calmes Financial in 2020. In addition to volunteering at Twice as Nice in Denton, Shelly enjoys reading, gardening, and traveling with her husband, Randy.
